![]() Apologies for potential inaccuracies, I am aware that this not prettiest slide I have made. Democracy cannot be defeated by dictators. ![]() If you do not work for a bank, please, share this. ![]() Russian leaders really need to understand that the whole world is against them. Is there an English version of this saying or is it used in Latin also. The phrase is still used today to say that the value of money is not tainted by its origins. The phrase is ascribed to the Roman emperor Vespasian (ruled AD 6979). If world leaders cannot coordinate a response, it must come from the democratic society. Pecunia non olet is a famous Latin saying: Pecunia non olet ('money does not stink') is a Latin saying. TO ALL PEOPLE AROUND THE WORLD: Follow the example of Paysera, and stop doing transactions with Russia, until this stops. Thus, although they have nukes and guns, they are far from unbeatable, assuming the right actions are taken. And, despite allthe natural resources, their economy´s size is somewhere in between one of Spain and Italy (GDP). Let´s not forget that Russia´s population has been shrinking. One does not need Nobel Prize in Economics to understand that this is not going to stop Russia from bombing Ukraine? And if Bank Rossiya was evil, was USA sanctioned it in 2014, but the UK and European Union did nothing before full war? Announcements are being made, but just a brief analysis of UK and EU responses. Major Russian banks are: Sberbank, VTB, and Gazprombank. Everyone talks about "major banks sanctions", but nobody bothers to look on the data. Except for last one including VTB, they looked like a joke, as had very limited effect on the totality of economy. Now, some of the sanctions imposed on the Russian economy do not get sufficient analysis. Sanctions are more effective, especially in mid-term. I understand, sending NATO troops to fight nuclear power is off the table. We cannot solve them all, but let´s try one by one. I understand - this is not war of European Union, the United States, or even NATO against Russia. I am safe, far from Ukraine, for work reasons, but closer than ever. First of all, thanks for everyone reaching out to me in the last days.
